Joe planned a trip to Santa Fe where we strolled through the plaza and visited the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA). We replenished our electrolytes at the Crow Bar and discussed some ideas we are working on. Katyraven talked about her Tumbleweed project and Joe was very interested, as he had a tumbleweed in his Tampa studio and had studied it for countless hours. The two of them immediately cracked open their sketchbooks and began drawing.

Joe shared his idea for a Photon Slit Experiment installation designed for the 40 Acres in Flagstaff. There will be more information about the 40 Acres in the near future. He and Katyraven shared drawings and thoughts about her developing Tumbleweed project. She and Joe discussed many variations of illumination, projection and different installation possibilities.

On Sunday we high tailed it to Meow Wolf with the earliest ticket reservation that we could get on this holiday weekend. At 9:00 am there was a line of over 100 people! We followed Joe in and it was a lot of fun. One of the highlights was talking with DJ Astrofreq – Daniel Carlton. He’s a dynamic performer and let us punch buttons and twist knobs on his sound machine.
